Meet Megan

If we've never met, I'm so glad you're here.

If you've found your way to LiveRAD, chances are life has asked you to carry something heavy. Whether you're grieving the loss of someone you love, supporting a friend, caring for a student, or simply trying to make sense of life's hardest moments, I want you to know this:

You don't have to walk through it alone.

For nearly 20 years, it has been a gift to walk alongside young people and families through leadership, retreats, coaching, and community outreach.

Those years taught me something I'll never forget:

People rarely need perfect answers.

They need someone willing to show up, listen well, and walk beside them.

Then one ordinary September afternoon, I found myself on the other side of that relationship.

I wasn't the one offering hope anymore.

I was the one desperately needing it.

When my daughter, Addie Mae, died unexpectedly, everything I believed about life, faith, and healing was tested in ways I never imagined.

What I discovered wasn't a way around grief.

It was a way to keep living with it.

"I don't believe grief is something we overcome. I believe it's something we learn to live alongside with hope, courage, and love."

That truth changed me.

It changed the way I parent, the way I lead, the way I coach, and the way I show up for others.

Today, I have the privilege of walking alongside individuals, families, schools, and communities, helping them discover that healing doesn't mean forgetting. It means learning to carry love, hope, and grief together.

LiveRAD didn't begin after Addie died.

It was already being lived while she was alive.

The Calling

Why I Do This Work

When Addie died, our family entered a journey we never imagined taking.

As we learned to live with unimaginable loss, I discovered that healing doesn't come from having all the answers.

It comes from being seen.

Being heard.

Being loved.

It comes from people who stay.

From honest conversations.

From moments of laughter in the middle of tears.

From discovering that grief and joy can exist together.

What began as my own healing journey gradually became a calling to help others navigate theirs.

Today, I combine my professional experience, grief coach training, leadership background, and lived experience to walk alongside others as they learn to carry grief without losing hope.

My greatest hope is simple: That no one has to walk through grief alone.

The Heart of It

What Matters Most

Everything I do is rooted in a few simple beliefs:

Every grieving person deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported.

Children and teens need safe places to talk about grief.

Schools and communities can become places of healing.

Presence is more powerful than perfect words.

Hope and grief can exist together.

Joy is not the opposite of grief...it is part of healing.

Love doesn't end when someone dies.

Honoring Addie

More Than a Name

People sometimes ask me how I honor Addie's memory.

The answer isn't found in one special place or one annual tradition.

It's found in the way I choose to live.

By choosing kindness.

By finding joy.

By showing up for people.

By laughing whenever life gives us the chance.

By carrying hope into places that desperately need it.

I believe the greatest way we can honor the people we love isn't simply by remembering them.

It's by allowing the best parts of them to continue living through us.

That's what LiveRAD has become.

Not just a name.

A way of living.

A daily reminder to choose love over fear, hope over despair, and connection over isolation.

Or, as Addie taught us best...

Be Silly. Be Kind. Be YOU.

Off the Clock

Beyond LiveRAD

When I'm not coaching or speaking, you'll usually find me coaching basketball, spending time with my family, running with my sister, inspiring young leaders, or dreaming up new ways to encourage others to LiveRAD.

Some of my favorite moments are the simplest ones: gathering around the dinner table, cheering from the sidelines, sharing stories, laughing until it hurts, and finding joy in everyday life.

Because one of the greatest lessons grief has taught me is this:

Life is still meant to be lived.
